Hi, Mark for this scenario you will need your service manual that has all fastener torque specs and a wiring diagram on the back pages, parts fiche, and owners manual if you can't find the best tool you ever bought for your Suzuki, despair not, for a mere zero $0 you can download another one.

1989 Suzuki GSX 750 F that won't idle below 3000 rpm

Hi, Suzuki #5 is jumping up and down waving the Suzuki flag screaming "pick me pick me" and the usual suspects are:
1. Throttle cables improperly adjusted, pinched or need lubrication.
2. Idle adjusting screw needs to be backed off.
4. Air fuel mixture adjusted too lean start with 2 full turns.
5. Intake system air leak, check intake boots with propane
6. Fast idle choke ramp is not releasing.
7. Broken throttle return spring.
8. Damaged diaphragm or slide.
9. Faulty MAP, TPS, ATS, O2, sensors or wiring/connector.
10. Multiple carburetors not in sync.

Check your sidestand switch. It might think your stand is down so clean it and spray with WD40. Road grime and corrosion gets everywhere :(

Bike wont start when I spray with ether it will run but at high speed wide open like their no throttle

When spraying with ether, if it runs for about 10-20 seconds and dies, the carb idle circuits are plugged up.

Ive just bought a suzuki gsx750f 1989 model it was running fine the first day and now wont start and backfires when im trying to start it can anyone help me?

Backfiring is typical for 'lean' conditions and stuck inlet valves.
check also the spark plug condition, replace them if any doubt on their age exists.
Check compression to discover open valves.
Clean out the carburettors.
