Question about 1990 kawasaki ZXR 400
How many Miles do you have on it?
Have you checked valve adjustments?
Valve adjustments are critical to performance.
I see you mentioned changing coil,did you also change spark plug?
Also the gas we get now has ethanol in it,
People are experiencing many problems with sticking valves and carb problems as result.
Try putting some sea foam in fuel as initial treatment.
And using Stabil fuel additive on regular basis will eliminate the problem,if in fact it has to do with fuel or valves sticking.
I am not expert on this engine by any means but based on my recent experiences.
I would check valve adj first, if you have already changed plug and coil.
