The circuit breaker with the blue wires coming off of it is the one for the lights. If you need a schematic, contact me directly Check for voltage at the blue wires on the circuit breaker. Then check all four bulbs. If one bulb is blown, the other one on that side will light up but not blink.

Right turn signal possible short

the wire is shorted.

trailer hitch hack job.

collision damage to rear.? wrecked the harness.

why would the flasher be bad, if left side front and rear works perfectly

we use a 15amp circuit breaker to replace the flasher fuse.

then find the short, (beaker keeps popping) when right turns are selected.

is this car under warranty?

did some one put in an illegal larger fuse in this circuit? dont

its a simple shorted line

we have a thing (real edison like) called an ammeter

we can measure the actual short, all look here its 15amps

just as the breaker trips, bingo city

then all we do is start pulling all inline connectors to find the section that is shorted, front or rear.

does that help?:

When i turn my 1997 sporster xl 1200s on,all the lights come on but the rear marker light.but the rear turn signals work. need to know ,why my head- light and front marker lights work plus my tail light,...

According to the schematic I'm looking at, your 1997 model Sporty came with front marker lights but not rear marker lights. To make sure, take the lens off of your turn signal light in the rear. Take the bulb out. Now, does the bulb have one or two filaments? If it only has one, then you don't have marker lights.

Let me know what you find.

My 1995 FB turn signals have stopped working. My front bulbs with the 2 elements turn on but the turn signals do not. Ive loked under the seat as directed by my Harley buddies but I did not see a fuse box...

I think all your lights are on the same circuit breaker. Contact me directly and I'll send you a trouble shooting chart for your turn signals. You may have a bad turn signal cancelling unit. Contact me at

I'm assuming you're working on a '93 Sporty. I've seen these threads listed all sorts of ways.

The first thing to check for is power to the coil. Using a test light or a volt meter check the small terminals on your coil for voltage with the switch on. If you don't have any voltage, first check the "engine Run/Stop" switch. Make sure it's working properly.

If you think the switch is working properly, I think the '93 models still used circuit breakers instead of fuses. When you turn the switch on, listen for a low level "plink" sound. After a few seconds, you may hear it again and so on. This may be a circuit breaker tripping and resetting itself. If you hear this, you've got a short circuit somewhere causing the breaker to trip. You'll have to determine where the short is.

If you have voltage to the coil but no spark, turn off the switch and disconnect the wires from the small terminals on the coil. Using your Ohm Meter set in the "R X 1" scale, put the test probes on the coil. One probe on each terminal. You should read about 2-4 ohms of resistance. Any more or less, you've got a bad coil.

Another test of the coil, with the wires off the coil and the switch turned on (careful, don't let the wires short to ground), only one wire will be "hot". Connect that wire back to it's small terminal on the coil. Now using a scrap piece of wire, momentarily short the other small terminal to ground while watching the spark plugs. You should get a spark every time you ground the wire and then unground it. It sparks when you unground the wire. If not, the coil is probably bad. If you do get a spark, then something else is wrong with your ignition system. Either you sensor in the engine or the "black box" is bad. The dealer will have to test these units. Good Luck!

Headlights don't work.

There is a circuit breaker inside the headlight switch body. It gets weak over time and use. The breaker is actually mentioned in the owners manual. A new switch is about $75.00 at the local parts store. You must remove the front of the dash to change the switch. Mine would go off and then in about 30 seconds reset and the lights would come back on. I would be driving down the road with my headlights flashing as the circuit breaker opened and closed. New switch = problem fixed.

Ice maker stopped working on Frigidaire Model FRS262NHW3...

I would check the valve that provides water to the ice maker before doing any thing with the ice maker head. Check voltage to the valve when the ice maker is in harvest mode. (with a good volt meter). watch the meter for the whole harvest cycle or you will miss the reading. if volage is good 99% chance youve got a bad valve, assuming the inlet tube is not frozen. Best of Luck.
