Question about Yamaha YZF-R1 Motorcycles
You are absolutely correct. The faulty relay can cause this problems. And even the tail light and indicators stop working if the relay is faulty. Also if the bulbs are faulty and internal wires are short then this can cause the same problem. So with the meter check the voltage of the wires in the instrument panel. Also check the voltage at the bulb sockets. If the bulb is good but there is no current at the bulb assembly then it will not function properly. Also check with the continuity tester to confirm the cut in between the wires. Many a times the wires are actually good but get cut in between due to getting old and rusted or got puled out of its connections.any of this possibility can cause the problem. The problem is not major but yes it requires proper diagnosing and troubleshooting to locate the minor fault.
