Question about 2000 Harley Davidson XL 1200 C Sportster Custom
As Steve said above ignition just had mine fixed it was doing the same.runs smooth as now.

Sounds like an ignition problem. I don't have a lot experience with the newer bikes as I specialize in the older ones, but it seems to me that Harley went to two coils on the Sportster, one for each cylinder or a "two in one" type coil. I'd check the coil and the spark plug wires. If you can tell which cylinder is cutting out on you, test that coil and the spark plug wire. The primary resistance should be 3-4 ohms across the small terminals of the coil.
Also, if the spark plugs you are running have the screw on ends on them, make sure they are tight.
