Four spark plugs, one per cylinder; the rears may be removed with a 3/8" socket wrench, a 4" extension and a 12mm spark plug socket; the fronts require removal of the motor mounts, do one side at a time with the same tools you used in the rear. The motor mounts require an 8mm allen wrench.

extremely helpful: however, I wish I had a picture of the motor mounts or a video showing how the procedure is done.

Bleeding the clutch hydraulics will not solve a slipping clutch. You probably need to change the fiber plates in the clutch.

Went to start my 2006 Yamaha ROyal Star Tour Deluxe, had no power to ignition or electrical system

sounds like possible bad battery or batttery connections. If battery is more than 4-5 years old thatis a good place to start as it should be replaced anyway.

My 2006 Yamaha Royal Star Tour Deluxe gives off a foul rotten egg smelling stench that seems to be coming from the battery. The bike has fried two brand new batteries in just two days of riding on each....

The egg smell is the battery. as it overcharges and overheats, this gas is flammable as well so no sparks.
The regulator is definately shot, but possibly the alternator windings as well.
Not certain on that model but it may have an alternator with an internal regulator.
Unfortunately can be an expensive exercise.

My engine has got a miss to it. It is at idle and through all driving ranges. I've tried cleaning out the carbs without taking them apart. but, it didn't seem to help.

You may want to look at the ignition system.....new spark plugs, verifying all 4 cylinders have spark, and if not,,,,testing the ignition coils for resistance, as well as the spark plug caps.
There have been a few ignition coil failures on the Venture and Tour deluxe models, mostly in the rear coils as they get road dirt and moisture on them.
The following site has very good tech support for the TD and Venture...www.venturers.org

How do you get plug wires off to change plugs on yamaha 1300 royal star tour delux.

The plug wire caps snap onto the top of the spark plug...you just grasp the cap and pull up.
To get to the plug wires and spark plugs, remove seat, fuel tank. If its a 2005 and newer Tour Deluxe, remove the "dog bone" between frame and cylinder head on each side.

How do I change the gas tank on a 2006 Yamaha Royal Star Tour Deluxe?

You will find it better with a manual. Mine is not the same model as yours, but it should be similar. Lift the seat, there should be two bolts, one on either side of the tank at the back, take them both off, and the same at the front of the fuel tank, note there are some variations, but adjust to them. The tank should be loose, lift it enough to disconnect the fuel line, after you have turned it off, and as you lift it off disconnect the electrical wires via the plug-in clip.

Clutch slave cylinder bleeder location- 1997 Yahama Royal Star To

It's located under the left rear cylinder side cover. Loosen the three bolts holding the side cover to the cylinder; you'll find a "trapdoor" into the crankcase. Open the "trapdoor:, and the cylinder bleeder will be immediately beneath it.
