Question about 2001 Yamaha V Star 1100 Classic
Over the last couple of days, I've noticed that my motorcycle seems to bog down when under a load / during acceleration. If I continue to hold the throttle open as the bike is bogging, it will all of a sudden feel like someone pressed the nitrous button and takes off like it should. However, once the throttle is release and I take off at the next light, it again has no power when under a load.
Seems like you make have some debris clogging your fuel line. You may need to replace the fuel filter and clear the fuel hose. The reason that it takes off at full throttle, is because you temporarily clear the clog. Routine use of fuel injection/ carbeurator cleaners is always recommended to prolong fuel filter and fuel line life and prevent these things from happening. Good luck. I hope this helps.
