How to fix honda xr200 to spark and how thier wirings connect sorce coil to regulator and cdi to ignition coil

Hi, Elrondjan and the usual suspects are:
1. Fouled spark plugs.
2. Severely discharged or a damaged battery, should have 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary.
3. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
4. Loose connection at ignition coil or plug between ignition sensor and module.
5. Spark plug cables in bad condition, shorting / leaking, spark plug cable connections loose.
6. Faulty ignition coil or ignition / electronic module
7. Faulty CKP, CMP, or BAS sensor.
8. Faulty ignition switch.
9. Tilt sensor needs a reset.
10. Security alarm failing to disarm needs reset

Honda XL200R was running great but leaked oil bad so I tore it apart and replaced the head gaskets and piston rings, put it back together now ive got no spark. The head lite comes on when I kick it but the...

well your magneto is fine(because your headlight works when you kick it over) I bet it is something as simple as you forgot to hook up a wire since you had it all taken apart. since your magneto is fine that just leaves #1 coil....or....#2 cdi box.....to find the coil just follow the wire from your spark plug to it....your CDI box should be mounted under the seat( make sure all the wires are hooked up ) and check again.....

Hi, I have a 1982 honda 200e 3 wheeler. I was wondering how to set the time? I believe its not timed right. I have gas and a spark but no go. I dont have the head light set up so is thats what wrong?...

If you are talking about setting the ignition timing, it is not adjustable on your ATC 200. If you are getting a spark at the spark plug, that means the electrical ground for the ignition system is okay.
There are three things necessary for combustion: fuel, compression, and a spark (at the right time).
If it has been sitting (for a year or more) then you can bet that the carburetor is plugged up. This means that it must be disassembled and cleaned out. Make sure the jets are clear so that you can see light through them. That missing screw on the carburetor could be the idle mixture adjustment. It will not run without this, so replace it. That takes care of the fuel part of the equation.
Check the compression. With the throttle held wide open (and the choke open) you've got to see at least 140 psi on the compression gauge. If the compression is low, adjust the valve tappet clearances. This is a bigger process than I can explain here, so I suggest that you get the shop manual for your ATC 200.
You can also take a look at the spark advancer. It is under the left top cylinder head cover. Make sure there's no rust in there and everything moves freely. The red dust you describe that came from the CDI box was most likely rust. So make sure everything is dried out (spraying some WD-40 in these places will dry them out and keep rust from reforming).
Finally, try a new spark plug, They are easily damaged or fouled and can cause backfiring when trying to start the engine. My best advice to you is check the above items - and get the shop manual.
By the way - the spark plug normally has about 50,000 volts fed to it from the coil. As long as you've got a nice blue spark at the plug, you're good.

It has always had a miss at very high revs

if it uses a carburator tune it rich..or check the fuel injsction system from blocks or ostracles that could be hampering preassuere.

genreally nothing happns to the cdi...id also suggest you look into the fel quality being used...try changing the octane or mabe even a different pump.

I have 1983 200 e big red-no spark

I would first try a new plug, then coil. If this is the original coil, it is not unlikely that is your problem. Check and see if a small engine shop near you might have a tester for a coil. That might help, you can also find a coil on ebay pretty cheap.

No spark

Check the side stand kill switch if your bike has one. It kills the engine so that you don’t start out with the side stand down. If broken or out of adjustment, it would kill the spark. Check for a broken wire at the side stand switch and coupler. Try moving the kill switch by hand. If that doesn’t work then wire a jumper around the switch to bypass it. Check the fuses. How good is the battery? Try a jump start from your car battery. Is the handlebar kill switch on? Check the operation of the ignition switch and all kill switches with a volt ohmmeter. Install new spark plug.

If that doesn't do it, check the wiring harness. Did a wire come unplugged? Are all wires clean and with solid connections? Any abraded or pinched wires? Is the bike in neutral and the neutral light is lit up? If no neutral light, check the neutral switch and neutral switch wire on center casing. If still no spark, get CDI system and coils checked at the dealers shop. You can screw up a CDI unit checking it yourself.
