What cause my 1995 buick regal to jerk at 55 just before passing gear,i do have a leak in front tranmission line would that be it

Stop any oil leaks as the transmission requires exacting oil pressure to do the job. Any leaks reduces the pressure so gear changing is affected. Besides when do you know if the oil level has dropped below operating level and will be insufficient for the gear box.

My Mercedes C200 Komp has started sticking in 2nd or 3rd gear for the first journey of the day only(?) Been advised of a gear box oil leak and told that an Electrol spped plate, filter, oil and plug is...

hi check and clean the MS air flow sensor, also the gear box needs a service every 2 years. now the service technician will tell you major gear box problems but it happened to me aswell and it turns out the valves inside the gear box was sticking to the valve body and causing the gears to stay in a specific gear till it reaches the rev limiter and would change. so after i got the oil and filter changed on my box, it still got stuck but dont worry as thats a common problem with a very easy solution, take the car on a long road and really put your foot down, let the engine and gear box temperature rise from hard driving and the valves should release itself from the body of the box and re-lubricate itself not to get stuck again

When my mercz.1997 drop to low gear it jerks. What is the problem should I overhaul the gearbox or any other cause. Please advice me thank you.

first try changing the oil and cleaning the pick up filters getting the box overhauld is very pricy inside the box is a lot of small pistons in the "valve block" they have rubber "O" rings (seals) on them they wear and this causes them to get a little sticky that causes the box to thump going into gear there is an oil you can try that will make the valve seals "swell" a little and some times this will work ok,,its just an "auto box" treetment,,,,

Oil is leaking out in betwean the engine and gear

it sounds like the rear engine oil seal is leaking check the breather on the engine to see if its blocked that could cause oil leaks from a build up of pressure

Hard to change gear

You are asking what can be done to shift your manual tansmission easier ?
I would say if you are "grinding" gears, The clutch will A) have to be repaired, or B) a syncro has gone out in the trany.

Knocking in 1150gs engine, When riding loud knocking happened, returned staright away. Re-set valve clearances and did an oil change, saw some iron filings in oil. Took off r/h head and all looked OK....

take out con rods and check big ends i gess there now burt out though, if the oil pump packed up when you were riding it and you kept riding it its now a full engine rebuild, i gess this is were the iron filings come from or its from a piston tearing up and the rings have been ground up and forsed into the sump eather way its a big job now

What type of oil for Mitsubishi Colt gear box

First drain completely out whatever is in it. All the gear boxes and rear ends use 90w gear oil. Buy a name brand. Some of the really cheap stuff is recycled used oil.
I hope this helps you.

What kind of oil do I use in a Wheel Horse lawn tractor?

Your Onan engine will do excellent with Mobil One 0w40, Mobile One 5w30.

DO NOT use hydraulic oil in the transmission/transaxle, you will destroy it. Your tractor uses an Eaton 11 Hydrostatic transmission pump with the oil resevour being the cast iron transaxle. The WheelHorse transaxle is as rugged as they come. It uses a solid cast iron housing, case hardened intermediate gears and forged differential gears with an eight pinion differential.

Your transaxle requires 10w40 synthetic or conventional oil as well as a wix 51410 filter or the OEM wheelHorse filter. It should be changed every 100 hours with conventional oil or 250 hours with synthetic. DO NOT use hydraulic oil!
