    it turned out that it was the voltage reg that went out and was not regulating the volts

Hello. Generally, the fix here is to replace the sensor. That said, it is possible that it merely needs to be adjusted. Your best bet it to go to a Harley repair shop. J.

Do you have a check engine light showing in the dash? If it was an ignition problem you would have a CEL on.

2000 silverado 1500 4.8 bank 1 and bank 2 to lean how can i fix


I have a 2001 Silverado 1500 with the 4.8 that had the same error codes. It turned out to be intake manifold gaskets were bad. With the engine running spray some carb cleaner on the intake where it bolts up to the heads and listen for the engine to speed up. If it does you've got a leak. With mine I couldn't find the leak with the carb cleaner but after I replaced the gaskets the problem was solved. Hope this helps.

On the back of the transmission near your thermostat housing. Move your air intake tube and you'll see it down there. There will be two rubber power steering hoses running to it and a plug & wires.

Truck accelerates sluggishly, then at cruising speed of 40 mph it surges. I pulled no. 2 cylinder spark plug and it was fouled. It does burn oil. When I accelerate to passing gear it blows out black smoke....

had the same problem except cruse control wouldn't work either. after checking all the relays and fuses the problem turned out to be moisture in the ECM plugs.

their should only be one speed sencer its in rearend on top of center housing most of the time its garbage getting on sencer its a magnetic sencer pickes up debre in fluid recomend fluid change when change sencer
