Question about Harley Davidson FLHRS - FLHRSI Road King Custom Motorcycles

My handlebar mounted Harley Davidson Road Tech HA90 MP3 Player will turn on start to play a song and then shut off. I've been advised that my battery needs to be replaced. How do I access the MP3 Player's battery and change the battery in the player?

This player doesn't have a separate battery, it's powered directly from the battery of the bike - check that the connection to the wire harness is good and made directly at the fusebox, as recommended.
The problems that you encounter are usually caused by mp3 files that are encoded in VBR, which your player can't handle. Try playing mp3's that are 128bit encoded - if it's the same then the player's processor is dying. Nothing more you can do, the player is dying, replace it.

The mp3 only plays about 40 songs on a 2 gb card. Plus i drag music files over only some download from ITunes

The reason only some songs are playing is because the other songs aren't in a format that it recognizes. Make sure all the songs are in mp3 format, if they're not you can get programs that will convert any song into mp3. If you need more help let me know =)

I have a road tech ha90 digital music player . inserting a sd card with mp3 and wma format music . i get a erro message.

First, many SD storage music players do not support HCSD. Is the SD card bigger than 2gig? This could be the problem. Try a smaller SD card.

Are there any upgrades for the Harley Davidson Road Tech HA90?

Not really, The problem with the older radio is that the way they fed the power to the mp3 side was to back door it through the FM modulator, thus resulting in a lower volume than theradio. Unfortunately there is no fix for it.

The WMA files are probably copyright protected, and this device was not set up to read them. I would try converting them all ot Mp3 format - you will probably have better luck. Here's the official Harley page that I found:
Here's the best bet - there are pdf instructions for upgrading the software and a few other functions, but no user's manual for it per se:

My Harley MP3 player.

It has already been said that the Harley Road Tech MP3 player will not read song from a folder, I was having no problem with it reading up to a 512 mb disk, however it would not read 1gb or 2gb disk because for some strange reason the songs were put on the disk as a folder, so I figured this out, rip your soundtracks to the mp3 format using the windows media player program, then sychronize them to the disk, no click on start on your computer, then my computer, then with the disk plugged into the usb port you will see that icon, storage device F , dbl click on that and it will open a window and show a folder, dbl click on that anf it will open all the soundtracks, now go to edit in your task bar and then to select all, this will highlight all soundtracks, now go to file and then send to and send those soundtracks to the F storage device, after you do that then delete the folder at the top and your MP3 player will now play the songs
