Install new spark plugs. Carbon build-up on the nose cone of the plugs is robbing power that would normally be your spark. Inside the starter solinoid, a spark jumps from one contact to the other as the solinoid makes and breaks contact ( starter button pushed in and out ). The moment when this happens, the voltage is increased and the engine fires in spite of the carbon. If new plugs don't fix the problem, chances are a new solinoid will. The internal sparking can pit the solinoid contacts and lower the voltage needed for proper spark.

The starter relay is welded shut. Locate the relay near the battery. Remove and replace being careful to connect the same as removed. Additional advice can usually be requested from the dealer. (get part from ebay or amazon.)

1982 Honda cx500 Wont start.

Use a volt meter and see how many volts (if any) youre getting at the starter when you hit the button. If youre not getting any, then the solenoid is bad. If you are, then the starter motor is fragged,or the motor is locked up,or hydrolocked. Try pulling the spark plugs out and see if it turns over.

85 gl1200 limited edition honda instrument lights not wrking can't find a blown fuse how do i get to the bulbs

Is your headlight working?
A common design with the Goldwing and the Yamaha Venture was to have a starter button with 2 sets of contacts...one set shut off the headlight and dash lights...the other set operated the starter circuit to reduce power usage during cranking. The starter button can get sticky as they age so the starter shuts off but the lights don't come back on. Ensure the starter button is fully releasing...may need a little WD40 sprayed around the button to clean things, then work the button several times with the key off then retry.

My 1984 honda goldwing aspencade headlight and instrument pannel stopped working

Honda Goldwings starter buttons have 2 sets of contacts....one set for the lights, one set for the starter circuit...the idea being to shut off lights to conserve power while cranking the starter. The button can stick and not fully release so starter stops but lights don't return.
With key off spray a little WD40 around button then work the button in and out, letting it snap out a few times....then retry key and see if headlight is back.

How is your battery? Sure sounds like it's too weak to turn over the starter.

Assuming that it always started just fine and then the battery is the problem. Many times it slows down gradually--like it turns over slower and slower until the battery finally has no power.

Try charging it.

1981 honda goldwing wont start

while trying to start an engine, and only the solenoid clicks, there are these 3 things- no juice from the battery, starter corroded contacts(the big cables) or starter is shot. so first make sure the battery is charged, next make sure the cable mounts from battery to starter are clean(no rust), if that is all good and doesnt start , remove starter and have it tested.
