Hi, Dekcritcher for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your problem. Spark plug blown out there is no more threads in hole , plug falls into the head of the engine. How does this happen.

It most often happens because a spark plug has become loose and compression begins to escape past the threads. As hot compression forces it way along, the cylinder head becomes very hot and especially with alloy heads, the threads will burn away or melt. Cross threading a spark plug can cause the same outcome.
Often the spark plug hole can be fixed by drilling out or dressing up the hole (cylinder head may have to be removed) and then inserting a helicoil (many sizes). This is a repair object that has threads on the inside (for the spark plug) and an outside surface that when heated up will "weld" itself to the cylinder head. It is a solid repair.

Fix a loose faucet model 989 the nut underneth sink keeps coming loose

Was this faucet installed recently? Most faucets come with nylon washers that are to be installed before threading on the nut. These act as a lock washer, preventing the nut from becoming loose.

What could be loud rattle at idle or when shifting at low speed? Cause? Cost to fix?

With a bottom-end rebuild, I assume the engine was removed from the frame?

Maybe an exhaust cover is rattling.
Check the mount clamps, and see if any are riding/making contact with something else.

Once I had a right hand muffler that rattled ONLY at idle.
The rubber block (that goes into the lower saddlebag support rail) had "shrunk" and allowed extra movement of the rear of the exhaust system.
Funny how it was only at idle though..............

I think timing is correct because hook catches thread every time, but when the hook finishes its rotation and releases the thread, the thread loop doesnt make it all the way around the bobbin case......it...

the catcher/hook on the bobbin case system loosen or not fix properly probably becoz of vibration or something( check or replace new), then check upper system either tension/ tighten of your thread/yarn or correct..

Tension issues with the bobbn area

No, I have not had a consistent problem with this.

What looks like a bobbin issue could be a threading issue.

If a sewing machine is threaded with the presser foot down, the tension control does not capture the thread as it should. The top thread then cannot form a proper stitch with the bobbin thread.

If I forget to have the presser foot up when I thread, then I get loose stitching on top and loopy stitches on the bottom.

Using Singer 7470 for the first time, and my bobbin thread is bunching terribly. There is a loud sound from the bobbin chamber, as if the mechanism is bouncing around??? How can I fix this bobbin issue?...

1. Take bobbin out and re-insert and thread.
If that dosen't work, try:
2. Take bobbin out and bobbin case, clean area and re-insert bobbin case and bobbin.
If that dosen't work, try:
3. Re-thread the top thread that goes to the needle. (Sometimes the thread dosen't hook to the "Thread take-up"(page 6 on manual). It pulls the bobbin thread and the bobbing becomes loose inside the bobbin case.
If that dosen't work, try:
4. Wind a new bobbin (Sometimes a bobbin might wind thread to lose) Do not wind thread to the edge of bobbin.
If that dosen't work, you should take it in to be serviced...Somenthing might become loose that only a technitian can correct.
Also check manual for troubleshooting.
Good luck.....

Thread getting knotted

My machine does the same thing. Unplug the machine, and open the bobbin case. I would bet that you have "orphan" thread still sitting in the bobbin area that is bunching up the new thread.
Your bobbin area should be opened, cleaned and well oiled to ensure that no loose threads are sitting in there waiting to create "tension" with you and your machine.
I have found that when I have not cleaned out the bobbin area, there are loose threads, lint and fibers left behind from other projects that I have been working on.
Get a new can of compressed air, and blow out the lint, and left behind stuff, and see if that doesn't fix your problem. If it's been a while since you have taken it in for a "tune up", it should be done if you use your machine often. Happy Sewing!

Machine tension knob does not work.

Use a better quality thread. Sometime old or cheap thread never works right. Check to make sure you have the right needle for your fabric.
