Yes and if the paint isn't chipped you can suction it out if it's in the right spot and you don't have to take the take off. they sell this tool at an auto parts store works like a plunger. or call dent pro and get a estimate might not be expensive. Caution the gas fumes could ignite so if you want to bondo an repair yourself drain fuel and boil the tank you have to take that to a specialist, the fumes is what will ignite

fuel line has a sludge blockage, check the line for dents you will have to get the line replaced if there are any dents that could be the problem - if there is a fuel line filter remove it blow out the line with compressed air, there may also be sludge in the gas tank this is best cleaned out by a mechanic who has the time and patience and knows what he is doing. Its a sign your gas tank is slowly corroding and will soon have to be replaced...

My 2002 Suzuki fell over and the handle bar made a significant dent in the tank. Is it possible to pop it out somehow?

First dont believe anyone who says you can blow it out with air.
It willl need a talented panel repairer, he will know a number of options to pull the dent.
It will involve heat and spot welding pulling lugs, so the tank will need cleaning first to remove fuel vapour. And will require repainting following repair.

I have a 2000 mustang and my fuel guage works fine. But 7 gallons fills it up from empty. As I drive the guage travels from full to empty just like it should. I do not have any dents in my tank.

I do not think you have any dents in your tank, nor do I think its empty when the guage indicates that it is.

It is more then likely a fuel level sending unit which is located inside of the tank. They are not fun to replace, empty the gas, drop the tank, and then replace the sensor.

Once upon a time we used to pop them out with compressed air. Be sure to close the fuel valve and empty the tank if you try this. Likewise air out the fumes and don't smoke.
Or
Fill it with Bondo. Don't drill holes to try to pull out the dent, then you have holes in the tank.

1999 Pontiac Grand AM 4DR. SE fuel gauge and other problems(help)

I have a 97 and an 00 Grand Prix and an 03 Pontiac Montana. The fuel gauge in all three vehicles don't work. The dealer here says it's a common problem in Colorado where I live. The government required additives in the gas cause corrosion problems with the fuel level sensor float linkage that sends the signal to the fuel gauge. The repair requires the removal of your fuel tank and replacement of the linkage and sensor. It would cost somewhere around $500. I've leared to reset my trip meter with every fill-up and watch the miles and check the fuel mileage with every fill-up to make sure I know when I'm about to run out.

A small dent in the fuel tank

Hello,
Depending on the size of the dent, it is possible to remove it by a couple of ways.
One way it can be done is with a suction dent puller. It is usually used on cars to remove hail damage and door dings. Some auto parts stores carry them in stock.
Another way is to use an air compressor to "blow out" the dent. You will need to drain the fuel first, then close the supply petcock once the tank is empty. If possible, remove the petcock and seal the opening. Too much air pressure can blow out the diaphram in the petcock. You can pressurize the tank with the petcock installed, just be very careful.
Then seal off the filler opening using a heavy rag wrapped around the air nozzle. Be sure the compressor pressure is around 50-60 psi and work your way up to 100-120 psi.
This method is crude, but will work most of the time.
Hope this helps
