Recently my signal lights quit working properly. when button pressed, emergency lights front and back would come on. no left/right signal or brake lights would come on. replaced the tsm. problems...

Hi Ruben, always check fuses and bulbs first, you could have a faulty turn signal module or a bad turn signal button/switch, remove it from the switch housing and check for continuity, check your wiring and connections from the turn signal switch to the turn signal module with a testlite. Make sure all wires are not worn or pinched and connector pins are not corroded, broken, or loose. For a free wiring diagram please visit the website below:

Turning signal not working

the turn signal module(handle) is broken. behind the steering wheel, take off the housing. there are only two screws that hold it in place and the wiring harness, one click and it comes off. replace that and it should work. it controls your lights, fog lights, turn signals, wipers, anything connected to it. that really goes out before the blinker relay(clicker)

Brake lights don't work on my 2010 FXDWG and my right turn signal doesn't work either. There is a key icon on my speedo that is on in red.

Hi Ed, always check fuses and bulbs first for broken filaments. Then check the connection at the rear fender wiring harness, inspect for corroded, broken or loose pins. Use a dab of dielectric grease and repair as necessary. Check your brake relay if you have one , check your brake light switches for continuity, some models rear turn signals were single filament bulbs only, no running light. If all else fails get out your test light and start tracking the power wire from the harness connection. You could have a faulty turn signal module or a bad turn signal button/switch, remove it from the switch housing and check for continuity, check your wiring and connections from the turn signal switch to the turn signal module with a testlite. Make sure all wires are not worn or pinched and connector pins are not corroded, broken, or loose. For a free wiring diagram please visit the website below. You may also need an alarm reset. 1990 buick lesabre turn signals don't work, hazard flashers work, bulbs are ok, running lights & brake lights work, just installed a new turn signal assembly, thought that would fix the problem, it did...

the turn signal flasher is a small canister-shaped or rectangular unit located under the dash, either in a clip adjacent to the steering column or in the convenience center which is located located under the right side of the dashboard and houses relays and other components. The fuse.faulty flasher unit a broken switch or a loose or open wire. We have eliminated the switch, I would check all fuses inside and out, you can replace the flasher with the hazard flasher as if I remember correctly they are the same shape and size, then it is just a matter with a tester light running it from the column to the sockets and finding the break. Hope this helps Tim

How do I replace the turn signal bulb on my 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee? It seems like I must remove alot of the front end to get at the bulb... is this true?

For the front turn signal:

There are two ways to get at the bulb.

Way 1) YOU NEED A SKINNY SHAFTED STAR SCREWDRIVER. This is how the manual describes it: Unscrew the 2 star screws holding the parking light housing on. One is on top, the other is between the parking light and the turn signal. This second screw can be very difficult to get to because the parking light and turn signal housing are very close. After the parking light housing is off, you can unscrew the turn signal housing. The screws should be located on top of the housing, underneath the parking light housing.

Way 2) This is the way I did mine: First, you have to take the headlight housing off. It should be pretty easy to pop off if you pry it the right way. It is held on by 1 square clip and 2 ball and socket clips. There is a small risk of breaking the ball and socket clips, as getting the headlamp housing off does require a little force, so be careful. You may want to take the headlight bulb out first, but isn't necessary. (Removing the right side bulb may require removing the battery) Once the headlamp housing is off, the turn signal bulbs should be very easy to get to.

To remove the bulb, simply turn the bulb socket and it will come out.

For the rear turn signal:

Open the lift gate.

There are 3 hex screws that hold each rear light assembly on. I'd recommend a hex screwdriver, as a socket wrench or box wrench would be very hard to use on the screws. Once the hex screws are off, just tug on the light assembly and it will come off. The bulbs are very easy to get to. The turn signal is the yellow one.

Turn Signal Fuse or switch replacement? '93 buick lesabre?

Yes all the wiring needs to be complete. Then all the bulbs must be inserted into sockets. left side marker right side front turn back turn reverse lights brake light everything. Then make sure they all work. The problem could even be a bulb thats on the fritz ready to blow but still on and dim little light. if that's all fine then it's probably your flasher. There are 2 flashers one for turn and one for hazards but I think they are the same but still separate. located under dash on either side of the steering wheel. The flasher closest to the door is up in there pretty far it's size is about like a 2 liter cap and it's silver. good luck

Need replace turn signal bulb

YOU HAVE TO THE FRONT HEADLIGHT HOUSING TO REPLACE THE TURN SIGNAL BULB.

Front right turn signal bulb is burnt out

If you open your hood and look right behind the headlamp assembly you will see a gray release tang for the turn signal housing. Just press the tang and pull out the housing. The socket comes out of the housing with a 1/4 turn counter clockwise. Now replace the bulb. The 2 problems are not related so check your fuses and replace any that are blown. It's a good idea to test the fuses with the key on and all lights turned on with a 12 volt test light and not by eyeballing them.
