Question about 1990 kawasaki ZXR 750
It wont always destroy something.
What can happen, is the pickup battery can accept a lot more amps than the bikes charge system can produce.
So when the bike starts and you give it a big rev, it will try and produce maximum current which can damage the battery or charge system regulator etc
Push\roll start can be safer, as it then only tries to charge the bike battery, which it is designed for.
