1.there is some constant amount of acceleration is always given to the engine so that it idles properly when you stop or slow down. the amount given for idlinng may be less so it stops when you slow down your car please try increasing the idling accelaration amount.

2.the injectors may be dirty so when you slow down the speed of your car the fuel inlet pressure is reduced so the amount of fuel goin inside the cylinder is also reduce or cut off due to the dirty injectors. so the engine stops.clean the injector and try firing the engine.

if my answer was useful please vote for me

1990 Deville, new fuel pump, new ICM, 40 psi on fuel rail, got spark, start the car and it runs fine for short time then dies. I have found out that something kills power to the injectors. Shut the hood,...

Replace the fuel Pump relay in the Power distribution box under the hood. Also, start checking the wiring harness back to the fuel pump for shorts. Most likely this is the relay cutting out every time it is pumped or jiggled but it is possible, however slight, that the problem is a short.

Ok, you've either got a lose of spark problem or a fuel problem. To solve your problem, you've got to figure out which one you've got. The next time it does this, take a spare set of spark plugs and put them in the plug wires. Ground them good to the engine and press the start button while watching them. Do you have a good spark. If so, now you've narrowed your problem to a fuel issue. If not, you've got an electrical problem.

Fuel problems are the simpliest. First, loosen but don't remove your gas cap and ride the bike. If this fixes the problem, replace the fuel cap as the vent valve in the cap has went bad. Check for full fuel fuel flow through the petcock. Your bike may have one of the vacuum operated petcocks. These are notorious for giving problems. I'd suggest replacing it with a high quality manually operated petcock if it proves to be your problem. To test it, remove the fuel hose and the smaller vacuum hose on the rear of the petcock. Using a hand operated vacuum pump. apply vacuum to the nipple on the backside of the petcock. You should have a full flow of fuel through the petcock. If not, replace the thing.

If you don't have a spark when you check the plugs, start carrying a can of "component cooler" with you. The next time it does this, spray the ignition module and see if that brings the bike back to life immediately. Try spraying the pickup module in the timer cavity. You may have to drill the rivets out of the cover to get to this component. Do not replace the rivets with standard rivets,,They're special rivets, get them a the Harley shop. When you spray something with the component cooler and your bike come back to life immediately. You've found a temp problem. Replace that component.

Good Luck

Yanmar diesel engine model#3007D003 powering a 6x4 cuts off.

My thought is that it is electrical, since it will not crank. I assume you mean that it will not turn over when you turn the key. I am not certain, but I think that if you have an electrical problem it may shut off the fuel supply as well. There is probably an electrical fuel stop on that machine. Since there is no spark plugs or electrical system to make the engine run, by shorting out the electrical system it will not stop the engine.

Craftsman riding mower starts rides a few minutes then stops

Make sure that when you check the oil that the mower has sat I say for at least 5mins. Your mower might have an oil sencer. If not I think it might be the coil gettin hot and shorting out.

Sue your brother is right! I had the same problem and it turned out to be the gas cap. the small breather hole on the top was plugged with dirt. once I cleaned it out I took the rubber gasket out from the bottom of the cap and cleaned that as well. runs great now.
