its 120 mm or 4.7 inches from the top of the fork
Some measure the oil quantity and fill the fork up, some fill the fork up and measure the oil level. The most correct method is to measure the level, I guess, but many guys measure in quantity.. both ways work well.

What is the oil apacity or oil level and the fork oil weight for the front fork of a Kawasaki ZX1200b 2002?


474ml when totally dry and 405ml when changing the oil according to the manual. The level should be 124mm from the top of the fork tube with the fork compressed and the spring removed. 20w

How to remove the fork oil for kawasaki kmx 125


you cannot remove the oil ,these units are sealed for life and never need changing ,to remove the unit to fit new seals where available you remove the fork then put it in the vice and use a allen key down the middle to seperate the unit ,this is not for the novice as its quite complicated and requires a long 1/4 drive extension with the appropiate allen key socket on the end hence the vice to hold it still .You should not need to change the oil ever in this sort of unit

Front fork oil seal replacement


General intructions for most bikes:

Remove front wheel. Loosen fork tube clamps at top and bottom of triple clamps. Slide fork tubes out and remove. Access to seals is from top of tube. Remove cover and unscrew cap. Shop manual for specific bike is $24-$30. Will show detailed instructions.
