Question about 1998 kawasaki GPZ 1100
I have a 1998 kawaski jet ski 1100 that starts easy, but with a load on it boggs down taking off, if you can ever get past take off it runs great. what can i do to keep it from bogging down on take off. already replaced plugs, fuel filter, ran carb cleaner through. (not sure it is a GPZ it was best guess)
Sounds like this bike sat for a while. When carburetors sit, the jet's inner diameter shrinks slightly from oxidization/micro-corrosion, and the diameter of the needles that go through them grows for the same reason.
Replace the jets and the needles that go through them.
I had this problem with a Suzuki GS850. When I fixed it, I treated the bike as I had been before I fixed it on the test drive, and almost launched myself off the back of the bike when I first opened the throttle. Careful.
