I would think the problem is with the starter relay. if you can isolate the clicking, i'm sure you will find it is coming from the relay. if it is the style with two posts, you can jump the two post using a rubber handled screwdriver to verify the problem. or use a test light.

I would check the starter relay, and any fuses associated with it, also does this model have to have the clutch in or brake on to start? If so check the switches there as well because you may have one switch that is stuck

Bike won't start.

Try a jumper cable from a car. If that works, you probably have a bad battery. They can fail suddenly like that.

If a jump doesn't work, then you're probably looking for a bad ignition switch.

Make sure your battery cables are tight at both ends. The ground connection on these bikes has a habit of vibrating loose.

All of the sudden my light quit flashing and horn stopped working on arming and disarming. how can i resolve this?

The alarms is in valet mode. Find the toggle or push button switch. Put the ignition key to the on position and then move or keep pressed the toggle/push button switch until you hear a beep. turn the key to the off position and try it.

your problem is ether the switch itself or the single wire connector is loose in the switch located left side of the engine under the chain cover.

Nsr 125 problem

It may be a safety switch in the clutch lever or bike stand switch being a bit sticky or broken wire in the wiring harness near the steering head that bends alot.

My 2007 boulevard s50 will not start all the lights and horn work but the bike will not even crank

Check fuses first then there are a few safety switches to check. Kickstand up and bike in nuetral hold the start button and pull the clutch in slowly if it doesnt crank then check the kickstand switch

Wont start

This bike is probably equipped with immobilizer system and you should have a red key along with two black ones.
That means that if the ECU does not detect the correct key code from the IC inside the key, it will neither give power to the fuel pump nor to the spark plugs.
The main key switch has a lot of wire in 2 groups. One big and one small (thin).Which wires did you jumped?

Nuetral light

hello and welcome
the fact that playing with the reverse helps with this condition tells me that the reverse lever switch or its workings are faulty. the reverse lever turns a cam. that cam rides against a switch this switch controls whether the bike shows in reverse or neutral. it can come out of adjustment or the switch can fail. the top sheltering plastic and the side plastic on the reverse lever side must be removed to fix or diagnose the switch.
