Question about 2001 Harley Davidson XL 1200 C Sportster Custom
This is a big job, but very basic, and can be done by most riders.
It just involves removing a lot of things to do the job. I had one of these bikes, but never kept it long enoungh to do a belt change, however, i looked very closely at what would be in volved.
The Rear Wheel needs to be removed first, then the front sprocket cover. Just take your time and look closely, you will see how it goes on.
Some models require that you remove the swingarm also.
If you are replacing a belt that is still on the bike, take note on how it comes off.
