Hi. My son and I are building a zzr250 1997. Parts are hard to find. Is there any other module Kawasaki bike I can get parts from.

Hi, Paul for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix or parts inquiry. If necessary transport your vehicle to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your issue. no there should be no difference in the fuses but it sounds like you have more of a problem than the fuse i would recommend taking it to a kawasaki dealer or auto electrician hope this helps

My 1992 zzr250 kawasaki it turns over no problem but it just won't fire and I have checked s/plugs, fuel and they seem ok is this comon and how do I fix it?

I posted a similar problem on my Kawa Vulcan. The coils work, there is power, but no spark at the plugs itself. I heard that it might be a "stator pickup" problem, but waiting for an answer as well !

My 1995 zzr250 started cutting out on me whilst traveling at about 100km the other day. I slowed down and then it cut out. Managed to start her back up and got her home. Yesterday i gave her a service...

Hi, Carver_c and the usual suspects are:
1. Idle circuit and transfer ports clogged.
2. Air fuel mixture adjustment too lean.
3. Pilot jet clogged.
4. Faulty accelerator pump.
5. Float level too low.
6. Float bowl contaminated old fuel, water, dirt, rust, etc.
7. Float bowl vent or overflow tube clogged.
8. Fuel flow to carburetor restricted.
9. Intake manifold leak.
10. The gas cap is not venting properly or fuel tank venting system blocked.
11. Vacuum line from intake manifold to petcock broken, cracked, or not attached, carburetor vent line plugged.
12. Needle and seat stuck closed in the float bowl.
13. Multi carburetors not in sync.

My kawasaki zzr250 won't start. when turn on the key, no light on meter. new battery

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, have you checked the main fuse inside the starter relay? To locate the starter relay, follow the cable from the battery's + terminal.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

Engine Replacement

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

I have a 93 ZZR250. Before considering replacing the engine, perform a compression test. Compression lower than 125 would be a cause of concern and therefore the engine swap would really have to be pushed through. Otherwise, it might just need valve adjustment.

Please postback results of compression test.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.
