Replaced a battery and there's nothing when I turn the key

have you got a electric tester? if yes check if between positive (+) & negative (-) pole of the battery there is correct voltage (at least 12 VDC), if voltage is correct check the battery terminals and clean it from oxide & dust, do same thing in wire terminals. Tell me if this works or not.

P1353 engine code

Hi Anonymous, doubtfull the outside heat was involved, my money is on a faulty wiring connection and I would keep track of the codes clear them, keep on riding and see if a pattern develops to give more information. Get back to us if it gets worse. Good luck

Buell blast won't start

You have a bad switch somewhere - either the clutch switch in the clutch lever or the kickstand switch is bad. Of course I had a blast that had a sloppy connector at the back of the key switch that did all of the above too.

You will need to reset your anti theft system. Try this: Put your key in the driver door and lock then unlock with the key, if this doesn't work then put your key into the ignition and turn it to the "RUN" position and leave it in that position for 15 mins and then try to start. This is a re-learn procedure. You can also bypass the system for ever, click on this link below to view what you will need:

I'll bet your connection(s) on your battery are corroded or loose. Remove both the of the cables, clean them & the battery well and reconnect them.

CBR954RR Starts perfectly every morning, no issue. Go out for a ride, bikes heats up. Stop for gas, or a toilet break, or lunch. Go to start and it acts like a dead battery... get click from starter motor...

Hi, Mt_jpn some bikes get "Sun Stroke" after running fine in the morning then shut off and parked in the sun for a couple of hours on a hot day. You get back on the bike hit the starter button and nothing happens or the engine turns over but will not fire. Then you put the bike in the shade for 20-30 minutes and it fires up no problem.
The primary reason for this phenomenon is faulty wire connections in the Starter and/or Ignition Circuit. You may have a wire connection/component that makes just enough contact when cool to start and run the bike, but when parked and exposed to direct sunlight heat causes expansion and creates an "OPEN" in the circuit not allowing the bike to start. You move the bike into the shade for a few minutes, the temperature goes down allowing the connection to contract and make better contact and suddenly "it's a miracle" the bike starts. I know what you're thinking that Gremlin could be anywhere, and you would be right in that assumption, you can take your bike to a dealer, spend tons of "DRACHMA" only to receive validated nervous emotions the next time you park in the sun, then 1 week later it doesn't start. Start by doing a ground check:
Check the battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary. Check all common grounds for the same suspects.
The secondary reason your bike may get "Sun Stroke" is vapor lock although this is a rare scenario it does happen.
