Question about Yamaha V Star Silverado Motorcycles

1 Answer

I have a 1986 Yamaha YFM80 4 speed youth model and the choke is taken apart. I need a schematic or directions to put it back together again. Like the spring; how many times is the spring wound up when installing it?

The spring has to have just enough tension so when engine starts the vacuum in the induction tract can open it ,other wise engine will stall with no air getting in

How to put together?

Look under Precor Ellipticals. Using your model and serial number, narrow it down. This will allow you to see an owners manual, service manual, as well as a diagram of your machine.

How do i adjust the clucth cable on my yamaha wr250 as it keeps stalling and now won't start

If the bike has not been ridden for a while, some of the clutch plates can fuse together. The not starting part has nothing to do with this BUT.To fix the clutch part, the clutch needs to be pulled apart, cleaned and put back together in exactly!!!!!!!! the same order and way it was taken apart.Plates all in order and not flipped around etc..This is a common problem. If you do this a lot of the clutch probs will be gone.Hope this helps

Can`t get netural

Yep I can help. The clutch has about 6-8 or more plates in it.When they are not used they can stick together. It needs to be taken apart, cleaned and put back together in exactly the same order.Instead of all the plates slipping, only a few spin. This goes into the g/box and makes it spin when it should be stopped. The fj have a great clutch in them. This may really help your problem.

2003 wrf 250 yamaha carb trouble

Just a thought, At first I would suspect low cicuit on carb being plugged or mixture passage. But after reading your cleaning carb I would be inclined to say check your timing as long as you are sure your carb is cleaned well and adjusted.
