Check the voltage with a volt meter with the cycle running should be 14.5 volts or less preferably 14 volts. If it is higher check or replace the voltage regulator. I just replaced mine on a Yamaha 1100 V Star 2002.

Controller recharge lights flash 15 times then go off for 15 seconds not charging handset

I think 2 things here Bob. Either your battery is about to take a nose dive, or you are using an after market charging cord. NOT ALL CORDS WILL CHARGE THE CONTROLLER!!! The cheapest thing to do, is try another cord. And if this don't work, the battery is actually inexpensive and easy to replace.

I don't know if this will help but if you have any after market chrome pieces on your controller they can definitely mess up the connection.

Looking for after market bearing for complete bike, have had inner and outer transmission bearing and crank bearing go out on 2006 street bob fxdbi with 1550 kit, this bike has 20.000 miles on it.

Take the old bearings to a bearing "house" in your town or city. Any good counterman should be capable of recommending, matching and obtaining quality bearings for your rebuild. You may have/need to source some bearings directly from H-D due to proprietary issues.

My mount at the back of my Tom Tom does not stay secure and also the suction cup is not so good. How do I secure this? Thank you

This is pretty common and a regular aftermarket universal one is my recommendation to you.

Another issue is that the screen in the area you want to attach must be super clean. I use isopropynol to clean the area and the back of the suction cup only then do I wet it slightly with clean water (don't lick it LOL)

These cups are also subject to suction failure in large temperature swings (I live in Canada so I can tell you about those)

The after market ones do seem better from personal experience.

ZZR250 won't start. fuel tank full. well charged battery can turn engine over. no firing. One month back engine can be started. No overheating then. What's the problem? Bob.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initial check is to remove the spark plug after giving it a try to start:
  • if the plugs are wet with fuel, then the carbs are OK, if not then it would most likely be a fuel delivery issue to the combustion chamber;
  • connect the sparkplugs back to their wires and lay it against any metal part;
  • crank the engine;
  • note if there would be spark;
  • no spark, then an electrical issue;
  • good spark, then back to fuel issue.
Postback results of above initial tests.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.
