Pull off the housing careful not to touch the clutches, and just wipe it out of the bottom or have a transmission shop flush it

My 1982 YamahaSECA 750 just won't go into gear I just changed the clutch too...what's the problem?

Hi,if you have the bike switched off dose it go in to gear ,if not falty gearbox, but if it dose I would sirjest you check the cable or hydrolics that push open the clutch and release the plats in the clutch basket,if ok then you will have to check that its all gone back ok behind the casing,
some times we rush and make mistakes, please dont get me wrong that dose not mean that your not caperble just sometimes we take are eye off the ball.all the best.

Clutch has no pressure

If it has a hydrolic clutch, the slave cylinder may be bad. There may also be a leak in the system. There should be a seperate master cylinder for the clutch system if it has a hydrolic unit.

My first gear slip on my 1978 yamaha 750 special could it be the clutch is to tight ? Where do i find a free manual on it to download ?

is it cable or hydrolic clutch lever ? if cable then make sure there is 3mm free play on the lever ! is cable free and not dry , oil it !?? some clutch's have an adjuster in the middle , nut and screw , undo the nut and back the screw off about 2mm and try ! to do this remove the side case !! drain oil first !! if this doesnt solve it then replace the clutch plates , fiber and metal !

2006 Honda Shadow clutch adjustment

You could try to bleed the clutch fluid if its hydrolic,if its cable operated take out some slack, or tighten the cable adjustment at the clutch lever untill it will go into gear and pull off without slipping, and stay neutral when pulled.not creep or jump when clutch is pulled. Right now sounds like cable is a bit long, or if hydrolic maybe some air in the line,if its air dot 4 brake fluid is used to flush out any air in the lines.Neutral light is all ive seen on the shadow.sometimes the difficulty finding neutral is overcome by working the clutch in or out a little, untill you feel it trying to pull then squeese a little more try to find neutral again.i use down ,down, down, up one to help find it .sometimes the clutch pulled all the way in is too much for the shifting to realy happen, its like shifting from second to first at the intersection and taking off in second because it sounded like it went to first but didnt ,becaus the wheels werent rolling when you tried to downshift.ok well im done now hope this will help.

My '82 Sabre gets poor gas mileage. I have changed the spark plugs and am building a set of air filters... what else can cause this?

riding too hard! air conditions, dirty air filter, and lowsey cheap gas that they have now a days...one other possibility that i can think of that might cause this is brakes to tight.

I have a 82 v45 magna that has the same problem with the clutch aswell,it has no pressure we tried to bleed it and did it the correct way but now i have nothing in the clutch?

Either has a bad clutch master cylinder, or a bad slave cylinder. If you can line lock the clutch, does it have good pressure? If not, you need a clutch master, if so, it is slave cylinder, or a bad clutch.

Clutch problem

I assume that the clutch pedal is going all the way to the floor... First have you checked the reservoir?? or has it been filled lately???. If there is signs of fluid leaking then replace it , or if it has been messed with lately possible air in system and it can be bleed....But chances are if you think its shot it probably is...It is fairly easy to replace just make sure you flush fluid to insure no particles or water can have an adverse affect on new slave cylinder ...and once installed (2 bolts and 1 hydraulic line..) make sure it is bleed properly....Remember its a lot easier to replace the slave cylinder than to replace a clutch due to premature wear from faulty installation....Good Luck
