Your check engine light is on because you are not providing the proper signal that used to come from the oxygen sensors. Install the sensors in your new exhaust (yes, drill it and put them back in), then connect the wiring correctly and it will work.

No offense, but you really need a service manual to learn which drain plug to remove to change the Trans fluid, there are three under there, two for oil and Transoil change the other is to be left alone. AFAIK, things change from model year to model year.

on the air filter backing plate the two bolt that hold it to the cyclinder head are hollow and part of the engine or crankcase breathing system when the pistons are on the down stroke this creates pressure and so to vent this out the air travels up threw to the heads with the oil and there is a little filter to catch and stop the oil and allow the air to pass out thew to the atmosphere however it does carry some oil with it . Old school used to vent out to the chain and help lube it.Now with the EPA rules it vents into the air intake system and the oil burned with the fuel.You can change the filter element which is under the rocker covers.

20-24 ounces, then it should have a dipstick. Check the oil level with the bike standing straight up. The oil level should be between the two marks.
