This can often be a problem with the side stand switch, which can also be in circuit with a clutch switch and neutral light, so check each of these switches with a multi meter

Measure the diameter of the springs top,cut pipe(Usually stainless steel)and remove the tops of the forks,install the spacers in each fork tube and enjoy-Experiement with the lengths,typically start with 1 1/2~3 inches.....You can also change the thickness of the fork oil...The tubed method does not require higher air pressure to work....
I know this may sound daft but are you putting the kick stand away. My husband was in the garden for ages trying to get the Varadero to go but it was cutting out when put in gear. After closer inspection he had been leaving the kick stand down because he was used to his old bike and the stand sprang away by its self. He felt rather silly. I think it's worth a mention :-P
Hi ! First check if the current is coming from ignition coil.... If YES ... then the spark plug is burnt(shorted) Get new plugs. If NO... then there could be a problem with the ignition coil itself Or the coil in the dynamo is burnt.... Regards Berry
Does it have a kick stand interlock switch? If so, the stand needs to be up when you select a gear, or it cuts off. If the switch is bad or out of adjustment, it will cut off when put in gear.
