Most likely you have bad main bearings and/or lower rod bearings. In the process, this usually takes out the piston and cylinder, too. Repair will require a total rebuild.

Hi Hugo, I'm sorry but I just loaned my listening ears to the lead technician at your local Harley Dealer so he could take your bike for a test ride and evaluate the noise. Good luck and have a nice day.

Tiny metal shavings in oil.. :(

Were you driving the bike when this happened? [if so,..you could have a broken shift fork]. If bike was just idling,..could be a bearing,...or piston /piston ring. *If tearing whole motor open,..check transmission side crankshaft seal also.

Power loss

In the absence of any FI codes/light, my next suspect would be the ignition coils. If the old plugs showed soot on ONE of the plugs, that coil might be your problem. The only reliable check is a spark tester that read the output while the bike is running.

Engine dies while driving.

the noise you heard in the rear was the electric fuel pump working but it sounds like you have an electrical issue check your wire harness for areas that wires chaffed on metal and cause break in the electric current some known areas are inbetween the radiator and the transmission down towards the tranny pan also check fuse panel might have a loose fuse

Yamaha srx600 kickstart seized

Check your 2 stroke oil reservoir, got a feeling it's bone dry. If so your cylinder is scored and will need some machining, new piston and rings....Good luck to you friend...Tim

Kick start is locked up

Could be cam chain, but more possibly would be related to clutch or primary drive chain to gearbox.

If the engine is seized up, it's probably because it is locked in gear.

The clutch is a relatively easy task on the lovely old CB100s, but if the primary chain to gearbox is broken or jammed, I'm afraid it's a motor-out-and-stripdown job.

Good luck, mate

Brake light on, power brakes seem gone

Chk. for vacume to booster, or loss of vacume like a break in vacume hose, do you hear a hissing noise when you step on break peddel. If you don't hear anything chanses are its the booster. When peddel gets hard to push you either lost vacume or booster went bad.
