Question about 1981 kawasaki Z 650
Carbs have to come off and be completely cleaned and if your keeping the bike i would order carb kits and rebuild them while you have them off. the good thing is that when you are done the bike will likely run fine. when gas sits over 18 months it becomes a varnish like substance than plugs all the jets and the needle and seat. good luck. if you havent done this before get a manual and takes notes as you tear the carbs down and pictures if needed. if you take enough notes and dont let the job sit unfinished too long you should be able to do this without any problems.
