Hi and welcome to the site,

Initially, have the battery externally checked, re-charged and load-tested. Thereafter check the charging system by measuring the battery voltage at idle and at 3000RPM. There should be a significant rise in voltage, say 12.5 to 14.5 volts.

Offhand, if the bike has not been used for some time, it would be to your advantage to clean the fuel delivery system from the tank, filter, petc0ck , carbs with special attention to the buildup of varnish-like filming and sediments on the carb bowls.

Good luck and thank you for asking.

Got a Lexmoto pulse 125 xtrs from Gumtree. It was fine going home then took wee ride stalled it and missed a gear the bike slowly stopped bike still revving but back wheels not turning, please help

Hi, Alan you may have clutch or transmission issues for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your problem. Hi, David I would love to help you with your engine or chassis noise but I just loaned my brand new pair of listening ears to your local dealer's chief technician so he could take your bike for a test ride and give you his professional opinion and estimate about your noise and repair cost. Good luck and have nice a day.

Tim,
I would look at three main things first. Compression, spark and fuel. Once in awhile us mechanics can get a "hunch" of what's wrong but overlook some common problems. I would invest in a compression tester and a spark tester. Both are fairly cheap and available at any parts store. Simply unscrew spark plug and srew in compression tester and turn starter over. Observe the reading, do this for all cylinders. Then put plugs back in and install spark tester. Turn starter over and observe spark. If you can get your bike started again, check compresiion and spark when your unit fails. This should put you in the right direction. Hope this helps!

If you have a fuel pump, that could be the problem. If the pump is not working, only 1 cylinder will get some fuel. Maybe water came into electrical part of the pump and shot the fuse, just check the pump operation.

If the battery is no good , this can cause some of the problems described, as the charge system tries to put out as much charge as it can, and not be able to charge the battery.
Try a volt meter on the battery, should be around 12v engine stopped and rise a couple of volts with the engine running.

It all seems to be leading to fuel starvation. Have you checked the tank breather is not blocked which can be a small hole in the petrol cap or a tube from under the tank. It could also be a blocked fuel filter. There should be two. One inside the fuel tank under the petcock, another before the fuel pump. Here is the workshop manual where you can find all info you will ever need for this bike.
Hop this has been useful, rate me if it has...?
Thanks and good luck.

Battery dead

If you don't have a multimeter, get one from Radio Shack or Wal-Mart. Measure the voltage across your battery while the bike is off. Then measure the voltage across the battery while you push the starter. Finally, measure the voltage across the battery with the bike running (if you can get it running). BTW, when jump starting a bike with a car, LEAVE THE CAR OFF.
