Hey hank have you tried pulling the plugs out?
this would rule out starter and battery as an issue, dry starts usually
happen when the motor has been sitting for awhile. another possible
cause if the motor has been sitting for awhile in a damp place us
a rust build-up on the cylinder walls, pulling the plugs and giving the it
a shot of oil then cranking it over would help this .after this re-install the plugs.
