it sound like you may have a alternator discharge problem . Charge the battery take it for a ride when you get back try starting the bike if it starts fine disconect the battery over night then hook it back up the next day if it starts fine their is a draw from something. if it doesn't start you have a bad plate in side the battery discharging it 9replace the battery) if the bike doesn't start after your test ride the the alternator has gone bad or is not hooked up correctly.
sir,there are 2 reason
1. please check bolts of small fuse connecter near the battery ,sometimes it get loose ,ectually that is main positive connecter to battery
2.please replug the rectifier-regulater cuplers ,otherwise you need to replace the regulater
1st make sure all connections and grounds are tight. you said you can jump or push start when hot, this sounds like a classic charging system problem, have your regulator and stator checked.
Probably fuel system has trash in it, The oil light comes on after engine dies would be right as the ignition is still on and no oil pressure.Fuel stabilizer may have caused trash to break free and stop up the system. Also vacuume to fuel shutoff could be off or stopped up too.
Yes the brakes will work if the bike does so you can take a breath of relief because there is no brake booster it is just hydraulic pressure from the hand and foot switch. What i think may be happening with this bike is a faulty regulator rectifier. This will cause the battery to die with the key off AND it will also cause the battery not to charge correctly when the bike is running. It may hold a charge but will not charge further. What this unit will do is keep the voltage consistent from the alternator charge.
Sounds like you either have corroded wires going to your battery or your alternator is not properly charging the battery. Get the bike to an autozone and ask them to put their tester on it.
