Well it could be a few diffrent things but always start with the easy stuff and work your way up. did the bike do this while riding? or did you just go to kick start to ride and was like that? the first thing i would do is check your engine oil,is there oil on dip stick? no oil in engine = engine lock-up.....did you notice bike making any funny noises before this hapend? if the engine locked up its not an easy or cheep fix!!!!! looking at $500.00---$800.00 if its locked up!!!!

I just change the piston in the Rings all my Dr Z 125 large And the kick starter is stuck now

Not a very clear question so I will try to help... It sounds like you replaced your piston and rings. Now if I understand the engine will not kick over because the kick start lever is stuck at the top position OR it is stuck in the bottom of the kick? If at the top;

Remove the spark plug so you will not have to deal with the compression confusing the issue.

First, with bike in neutral does the engine turn over easily when you put a socket onto the bolt at the end of the crank shaft?

If the crankshaft turns over easily then there is a problem in the transmission. If not then;
- Your piston is stuck because it is to big or rings were not installed correctly. Ring gap may be an issue, or you may not have used assembly lube on the wrist pin etc. etc. If the engine does not spin easily R&R the piston. There can also be something like a socket or old part that fell into the crankcase at some point.

I suppose that the clutches may be sticking to the pressure plates if the bike was apart for a period of time too. R&R the clutch pack to inspect. Before you remove the clutch pack it may be a reasonable idea to loosen the bolts that apply pressure to the clutch springs to see if that loosens the plates.

If you do remove the clutch pack make sure the bike is in neutral so you can grab the output shaft and spin it by hand. It should be easy to spin the transmission once the clutch is removed. Since you would need to R&R the clutch to split the case it is a good idea to check that it is not a problem in the transmission.

If it does turn easily then put the bike on a center stand so the rear wheel is off the ground. Put it in first gear and try again... If the crankshaft will not spin via end bolt then something is in the bottom end or transmission.

If the engine spins via crankshaft end bolt then the kick start lever has a problem and splitting the crankcase is the next step. Comment below with any new info and I will try to get back to you.

My 1987 wr 430 was easy to kick this morning when i baught it it has lots of compression but it got hard to kick so i pop started it to get it home and now its super hard to kick whats wrong?

Piston rings could have snapped and is making it hard to move piston in barrel I wouldn't recommend using bike till you check piston out as you could damage header of engine and may need it replacing if you damage it too much.

How do you compress the brakes so you can put the new ones on for 2003 cherokee jeep. We have taken them off we can't get them back on.

use a C clamp and slowly force the piston[s] back take it easy and slow. you should not have to applie more than a little turning force to get it compressed if alot of twisting wont budge the piston then it is stuck in the bore or cocked to one side. center c clamp in center of the piston to prevent it getting cocked

How i start my yz426 2002 yamaha the bike has a good compresion the carbulator true gas and the spare plug is good

these bikes are the hardest bikes to fix, easiest thing, kick the bike super slow until you piston is at TDC, you will know because it will be hard to kick, then pull the compression release down and as you start to kick release the compression release. NOT an easy task starting a 426 but good luck

if the kick starter is stuck that means the piston is probably stuck. Locked up the bike, pull the head off and look at the cyl.
