How frequent to change engine oil

Depending on your usage and recomendation by manufaturer.
Alternatively you can remove the dip stick fitted with the oil filler hole in your bike. Observe the colour and smell stiking to the dip stick. If the oil colour is very black and smells like burnt, replace the oil. Use the same grade.

How to determine the oil level on dip stick

In other products, the upper hole is max and the lower hole is min. Somebody at Toro forgot to change the manual when the dipstick was reengineered.

Help please

There is a dip stick screwed into a tube on the side of the crank case or a screw plug directly into the crank near the bottom (normally coloured red) If it is a screw plug then unscrew and correct oil level is near top of thread Replace plug when finished. If it is a dip stick remove the dip stick--- wipe clean ---and replace screwing it all the way I. Remove again and check oil position on dip stick Should be on top mark or top hole if there are holes.

sounds like you engine cant vent so its using the weakest point the dipstick, check your engines breathing system and the pcv valve it might be blocked, find it connected to the air filter housing with a hose , it should rattle when you shake it if not replace it.

My car needs transmission fluid. how do i put it in? no dip stick

if its a STICK-SHIFT, it wont hav a dip-stick,u need to raise up th car, nice & LEVELED, you will see a big-nut-on the side of th TRANS BUT MORE to the top of trany probably near the stick-shift u need to buy a hand-pump from any AUTO-PARTS-STORE, when u find the NUT, re-move it,and theres A HOLE,U need to pump th TRANS-GEAR-OIL,in through th HOLE,start pumping in the HOLE, until it starts coming out of the HOLE,when it STOPS coming--out,u are finish, also u are @ the full LEVEL--MARK... How much oil what wt.

Most any kind of 4-cycle motor oil like 10W-30 will work in these motors. After draining the old oil replace the drain plug. There are two types of motor oil fill holes: 1. If you have a motor with the oil fill/check hole on the bottom of the motor and a small screw-in plug either with or without a small dip stick on it; with the motor level, fill the crank case with oil until it is up to the threads on the oil fill/check hole. 2. If you have a motor with a long dip stick that goes into a filler tube at the top of the motor, again with the motor level, put in about half a quart of oil and use the dip stick to check the oil level. If not full, add quarter quart amounts and check again until the oil is at the full mark on the dip stick. Do not overfill the crank case with oil. Most motors will take about one quart of oil but it varries so watch to see the oil level come up to the proper level.

The oil dip-stick is blown out of its seat when the compressor runs

Without knowing what make or model you have, check the following:

1. Some, not all, compressor dip sticks have venting holes for the crankcase. If the vent holes are plugged or the check ball is stuck the dip stick will get forced out when the piston comes down.
2. Make sure the oil level is where it's supposed to be. Too much oil in the crankcase will cause the motor to work harder and the excess oil being splashed around the crank case can overwhelm the vents in the case or dip stick and again blow the dip stick out.
3. Worst case, you have worn or broken rings on the piston(s), a hole in a piston or a badly scored cylinder(s) and air is leaking past the piston and creating pressure in the crank case and blowing the dip stick out.

I have found the hole i think that the transmission dip stick goes in but no stick threaded hole what does dip sticklook like so i will know what to purchase

The hole for the transmission dipstick should be a very skinny metal tube that comes up along side your engine from underneath. As far as the stick it is almost identical to an oil dipstick. Maybe a little longer is all.
