The neutral light switch is located on the chrome cover on top of the transmission. Check the wire to plugs onto the switch to see if it's loose or corroded. If not, you can replace the neutral switch on the transmission easily. Simply screw the old one out and screw a new one in and plug the wire onto it. That simple. I hope this works for you.

Good Luck

I have a 97 honda cr125 and sometimes when I'm riding it locks up in sixth gear and stalls n skids to a stop I put it in neutral kick it over and it fires right up does anybody know why

There has to be a problem with 6th gear, it could be the forks that change the gears they get bent from hard use. It could also be the actual gear. Manual trannies are easy to work on.

My son's friend has a kawasaki klx 250 2006 model. You can ride it for about 5 minutes and when you go to return to neutral, the light will not come on and it will not start. I am not sure whether this...

neutral safety switch light must be on to engage starter, sometimes pulling clutch while in gear will let it start.sounds like switch could need checking.does bike roll free even without the neutral light on,in neutral but no light. or is light out because its still in gear?

2003 SUZUKI GSXR 600 SHIFTING QUESTION I have a 2003 Suzuki GSXR 600 with only 2,500 miles on it (never been dropped or abused im the 2nd owner) and was riding it the other day at around 30mph and suddenly...

The transmission on your bike is not syncronized like a cars trans. When you are trying to shift from neutral at speed you must slow down to allow the gears to mesh. As far as having to rock the bike into gear sometimes, I have owned eighteen motorcycles of different sizes and makes and have had to rock all of them at one time or another to get them in gear. again lack of syncronization. It really doesn't sound as if you have a problem.
