My kickstarter gets stuck on my 1985 honda xl350r, when i put bike in gear and pull backwards it releases the kickstarter but when i try to kick it gets stuck after 1 or few kicks any ideas?

Very cool!
This bike is 30 years old.
There will be worn parts.
My suggestion...........

Dismantle the kickstart components, and check every part as you do so, looking for worn gears, sloppy bushings, and binding parts.

Fix the bits, put it back together, and ride on.

Cheerfuls!

How do i kickstart my .mz 250 when is tic on top

Im not sure the question is complete but if its cold (hasnt been running) stand over top of it like your about to sit on it. Make sure the bike is in neutral. Hold the front brake to stabilize the motorcycle. Tilt the kickstarter out and make sure there are no obstructions in the kick starters travel, pull the choke out and kick back and down with strong kicks. It might take a couple tries depending on how long its been and how cold it is out side and maintenance of coarse. I hope this answer your problem

Can I add a backup kick starter?

That is not likely. Unless that motorcycle came with a kick starter in some permutation, the machining needed to fit an additional gear to the junction between the starter pinion and the flywheel would be beyond most budgets and machine shops. That is really what is needed to add a kick starter to a machine without one. Do not ask WHY manufacturers decided that the kick starter was not needed, but they all felt that way. The notable exception would have to be Ural...

Kick start seized

IF YOUR KICKSTART HAS SEIZED AND IT WON'T TILT BACK IN THE PROBLEMS ON THE SHAFT (REMOVE THE DOMED ALAN CAP BOLT THEN REMOVE THE ACTUAL KICKSTART AND CLEAN UP THE SHAFT AND INSIDE DIA OF THE KICKSTART AND LUBE IT BEFORE REFITTING, MIND YOU DON'T LOSE THE SPRING AND BALL). IF ITS SEIZES WHEN YOU KICK THE KICKSTART THEN ITS THE KICKSTART GEAR OR BUSH IN THE SIDE COVER THATS THE PROBLEM. ITS EASY ENOUGH TO CHANGE IF YOU HAVE THE TOOLS FOR THE JOB. IF ITS A DIRT BIKE TRY TO PRESSURE WASH IT THEN SPRAY WITH WD-40 IT MIGHT HELP. GOOD LUCK IF YOU NEED HELP WITH STRIPPING IT DOWN JUST LET ME KNOW (ALSO LET ME KNOW IF ITS A LEFT OR RIGHT SIDE KICKSTART)

I bort my new gilera the kickstart was a bit stiff and kept on getting stiffer now its that stiff it wont kick can anyone help me

If this is a new one then I would recommend that you must have it done on free warranty support as this can be a manufacturing defect within the gear box and so you must not attempt to rectify it temporarily with oiling or resetting.
The stiffness can be fault in the bushes of the arm , fault in settings or wear off on the shaft/gear/pinion.
Please get your warranty claim or file a complaint if there is no support.

How do you remove the kickstart shaft from a1984 Suzuki ts185? Is it possible from kickstart side of crankcase or does crankcase need to be split to access from other side?....

Just remove the kick lever then remove the right side cover. This will allow access to the kick start mechanism. Please rate my answer. tombones49_4.png

My kx100 kickstart won't work

have a look at the clutch cable there may be far to much slack on it so your not fully disengaging the clutch thats why the bike pulls forwards

My 125dt dosent sart or kick sart, the gear inside have a bushing in shafting?or it was broken..

Common cause of kickstarter not engaging(I am guesing that this is your problem) is a broken spring on the kickstart mechanism,or that the kickstart idler gear cerclip has fallen off(this allows the idler gear to move forward on the shaft & thus won't allow the kickstart gear to transfer drive to the clutch hub).Remove clutch cover, put kickstart lever back on shaft spline, activate kickstart lever by hand(easier with sparkplug removed+in neautral)as kickstart lever moves down 90 degrees the gear on the kickstarter mechanism should move out to engage with gear next to it(kickstart idler gear). If the gear on the kickstarter mechanism dosn't move outward it has a broken spring on the kickstart mechanism.replace spring and all should work.(if the spring is broken you need to try find the broken piece with a magnetic pick-up tool as the broken part can cause further damage if not removed)To do this job I highly recommend you first purchase a workshop manual which will guide you through these processes. After all a manual is the most valuable tool in your tool kit.

The kick start on my 50cc moped has become jammed. It hasn't been knocked or anything, there seems to be no reason for it. I've had to kick start it for a while now as it won't start with the key. Could it...

Take the case into which the kickstart goes in, I believe that your kickstarter gear (the small gear found at the other end of the kickstarter, behind the case) has gone out of it's position, thus locking itself in position.
