Charge the battery and check the connections first, and maybe there's a starter fuse. Sometimes the brushes on the starter get dirty form sitting. Push the starter button and gently tap on the starter at the same time and see if it turns over.

Why my 2010 mks sometime want engage starter when the button is pushed.sit for awhile then it will start

Sounds like a classic symptom of a bad starter solenoid. If you can find the starter motor, you will likely see a smaller cylinder on the side of it. Follow the red positive battery cable away from the battery. That will be attached to the starter solenoid. It is likely you can also tap on the side of the cylinder with a small hammer, being careful not to hit the red cable!! Once you tap the cylinder, it will probably start as well. If this happens, it is VERY likely a bad solenoid.

Tries to turn over then wont let it sit awhile then it starts

It could be starter heatsoak (starter gets hot from engine heat and needs to cool down first).
You can fix it by putting heat wrap on the starter.

My car wont start,

Rap it anywhere on the large casing the starter motor sits in. Have someone try to start it while you stand by engine. Does the click come from the smaller solenoid mounted on the starter? If it does, hit the starter, (not the smaller roundish solenoid) and see if it works. If it does, the starter motor is starting to fail. If nothing happens, the starter will likely need to come off for testing, but first check battery connections for being clean and tight, and check if the big cable on the starter is tightened down. Most parts stores will test starters for free.

Car won't start without being charged and when it sits overnight it wont start. makes a clicking noise when trying to start it

Battery is to weak & not holding charge. If the battery does not have enough power the starter will make a fast clicking sound or you will just hear one click.

1997 Honda Accord, 4 cyl, auto trans. When I turn

The starter sit on top I belive on the passenger side above the transmission, have some one hold the key to start while you tap or even hit the starter some time it will crank over if it does replace it, not that big of a job. If it still dont start there a big wire that one comes from the battery and a small one that come from you ignition switch ( key ) jump those two wire's ( if stander transmission make sure you have it out of gear ) there should be voltage at big wire all the time, if it still dont crank over replace starter assembly.Hope this was very helpful.

Try to start the car and the starter wont work let it sit awhile and it will start it will happen 40% of the time

first thing i would do is the tap test when the starter doesnt work take a rod and hammer... no im not joking, put the rod on the starter/ soliniod DO NOT TOUCH THE WIRES and tap it with a hammer( DONT "HAMMER" ON IT THOUGH) just enought to send a good shock through the starter. if that alows you to start the car replace the starter...
Good luck
