Hi My son has bought a skyteam st50 from a lad who has lost his keys (all legal and above board i hasten to add!! logbook etc) so how do i go about getting a set of keys? friends say i need to get the...

To resolve this issue, you don't need a garage, you need a locksmith. Happily, many locksmiths will provide remote service at your location, rather than requiring you to come to their shops (think of car lock-out service). Look for a locksmith who has a specialty in automobile locks. Few of them will advertise special expertise with motorcycles, and many of the key blanks for cars can be fitted to a motorcycle ignition lock.

Depending on the type of ignition lock, the locksmith may be able to cut a new key for the existing ignition switch, rather than forcing you to completely replace the switch. Many ignition lock tumblers have a code stamped on them from which you can cut a matching key--if you can get to the code. A locksmith may also be able to pick the ignition switch so it can be released--as a security measure, a number of these switches are designed to be difficult to remove unless you have the key in them.

Different locksmiths will have different prices for this service. Don't be shy about calling a couple of different locksmiths to discuss your problem and hear what they would do and approximately how much it might cost.

Good luck!

How do I get to the battery on the skyteam st50/35m?

Hi,

Batteries are generally located under the seat.
So, remove the seat and left and right side covers.

Good luck
