Question about 2002 Honda VT 750 CD Shadow A.C.E. Deluxe
Has died on several occasions when coming to a stop. Restarts without
a problem. Tank over 1/2 full last occurance. No warning lights, does not appear to be overheated.
First the obvious: are you slowing too much with the clutch engaged? You might try downshifting as you decelerate. Before doing anything more, you might add Marvel Mystery Oil or Sea Foam to the gasoline, according the the manufacturer's directions, and see if the symptoms disappear, which could indicate a dirty fuel system.
I wouldn't make any adjustments at all until checking my technique in deceleration, and trying a harmless but often beneficial additive.
