Question about 2000 Ducati 750 SS i.e. N-C

Fitting cyclone v2 alarm to Ducati 750ss requires wires fitting to either side of ignition fuse and cant find it only main 30 amp fuse????

chec for any bad fuse-bad ones can appear normal-test um--make sure batt connecs tite n not corroded--also test alternator and inspec bikes wiring

SOURCE: alarm sounds on arming Cyclone V2

Has the alarm been changed ? Wrong part? The blue wire can be attached to a switch if you do not want this feature but the ecu will send codes to the module causing more problems .

Hi, Anonymous and the usual suspects are:
1. Fuel tank empty.
2. Fuel supply valve/petcock turned off.
3. Fouled spark plugs.
4. Engine flooded as a result of overuse of the enricher.
5. Vacuum hose to the fuel supply valve/petcock disconnected, broken, cracked, or pinched.
6. Fuel valve/petcock or filter clogged.
7. Discharged battery, check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.

Ducati 750ss wont start after falling over


Hi, Anonymous and the usual suspects are:
1. Ignition Switch not in the "ON" position.
2. Engine Run Switch in the "OFF" position.
3. Discharged battery, check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
4. Bank angle sensor tripped and ignition/light key switch not cycled to the "OFF" position and then back to the "ON" position.
5. Faulty starter button/switch.
6. Faulty jiffy stand or clutch pull in switch/sensor.
7. Security alarm needs a reset.
8. Starter control circuit, relay, or solenoid faulty.
9. Electric starter shaft pinion gear is not engaging or over-running starter clutch slipping.

I have a 2001 Ducati S4 916 monster and recently blew the main 30 amp fuse. Thought it would be the rectifier and possible battery I replaced both! Still when placing the new fuse into the fuse holder it...


Hi, Akerr755 you have a dead short which is usually the easiest to find. Using a test light connected to the hot side of the blown fuse holder, start probing the wire leaving the fuse holder about an inch away the test light should illuminate, keep probing towards the ignition switch until the test light no longer illuminates you are now very close to the short. 1997 Ducati 900SSCR ran beautifully up till two wees ago. Went to start it today and nothing happened when I turned the ignition key to "on." Nothing + no ignition lights, no any lights, no fuel...
