I would lay odds on the battery if it's six years old but that's guesswork, I prefer mechanics. Take the battery out of the bike and take it to an automotive parts house. Ask them to check the battery with a load test. That will tell the tale.

If the battery is good, what you may be hearing is the starter relay clicking. Since your lights are not dimming, the starter is not even being engaged. The starter relay is a one inch cube device usually black in color. On your '96 model, I think it's on the backside of the oil tank. You must take the seat off to see it. Try to start the bike and see if that's what is making the clicking sound. If so, replace the relay. Check these two things before you go replacing the starter. Starters aren't cheap.

Flasher blinks while truck is running or the key is on. Turn signals on or not.

That sounds like a security system is activated. Somebody has probably disabled the siren.

My 1999 gmc jimmy won't start, it makes a clicking noise when I try to start it and had plenty of juice to battery, is it my starter or maybe my water pump?

No ,the water pump has nothing to do with it , Maybe the battery cable or connections at the battery ! You need to have a technician do a starting system voltage drop test ! Engine Won Start No Crank Diagnosis Troubleshooting Starting System Issues

96 pontiac grand am wont start

Could be a number of things, could be a bad battery, could be a bad fuel pump, could be that grand am's have a history of committing suicide when you least expect it. Try taking your battery to a car shop to start, if that's good then you need to check the starter, it's underneath the radiator or close to it, it looks like a tube, about 6-10 inches wide, hit it with a wrench or something metal or with a little weight, not hard enough to dent it, but then try starting it, if it works after that, you need a new starter unless you want to get oily hands and be pissed off at your starter constantly.

hope it helps.

We have a remote car starter, not sure what brand. We had a new battery installed and now we can't start the car with the remote anymore. We have a 1999 Plymouth Grand Voyager.

Have a remote car starter, new battery, but still will not work. Don't know the brand, believe it to be 9 yrs old and probably no longer in business. 66 yr old female

96 geo tracker will start on time and not the

You didn't indicate that the starter turns over slow--that would be a strong indication of a bad battery, but if so, check your battery. If your battery is more than three years old, replace it. If the battery is good and you still have problems it could be a starter problem.
