Question about 2002 Gilera Coguar
My 2002 cougar intermitently overflows fuel in the carb it then comes from the bottom of the carb. I have cleaned jets and have now taken the carb off 4 times each time I put it back on its ok but at some stage the overflow reoccours. It seems to happen when I fill up the fuel tank but i'm not 100% sure about this. I have never used a whole tank of fuel without this happening. I am thinking this may be either the float needle or the float is sticking as the float needle costs £30 I would like to make sure that it is due to this before buying and replacing
May be dirt in the tank, or the feed pipe is deteriorated, clean the carb & float needle again and renew feed pipe and fit an in-line filter, ( will only cost a few pounds) it you still have the same problem then it's pretty sure to be the float needle & seat
