Did you try to squirt a little gas in the cylinder? Try it, might just be the spark plugs. Or the coils are getting weak. Does the battery hold a charge? Or has it not been run? Check these things out and get back.

Is it electric or kick start only? And what about the battery? If it has one ,is it any good. Most kick only bikes will run without a battery, but some newer ones need backup for the electronics. Yours being an 81, I would suspect a mouse nest inside the engine cover, something wrong with the stator, alternator, magneto, whatever you have on it. Down below on left side is where the wires come out of the case and go into a junction, it is the junction for the alternator, see if the screws are not rusted, and the wires are intact. Check out the air filter and the wires to the coil. Low compression will prevent it from starting. There could be a number of things stopping it. Hope this helps.

1996 Suzuki GSF 600 S Bandit hard to start when hot

Hi, Anonymous your bike starts great when cold but once it reaches operating temperature and the engine is shut off for a few minutes then you try to restart it and it will turn over but will not fire or it doesn't do anything, the usual suspects are:
1. When electronics get hot they build up resistance then stop working. It might be an ignition coil, stator, CDI unit etc. First, you must find out if the spark dies out. When the bike won't start, pull a plug wire off, stick a new spark plug in the end and ground the threads on bare metal while someone cranks the engine over. You should see a nice big blue spark between the spark plug gap. Incorrect spark plug gap will cause or contribute to a no start when hot issue.
2. Fuel Tuners have been known to cause this type of problem, disconnect it and see if resolves the issue.
3. Any engine management sensor could be faulty especially the ones that monitor temperature.
4. Gas cap not venting properly, improperly routed fuel lines they must always go down from the gas tank to the carburetor never in any kind of a loop this will cause a vapor lock. Clogged, bent, kinked, pinched or restricted carburetor vent lines will do the same.
5. Overhead camshaft valves adjusted too tight when cold, this will cause loss of compression when hot, except for pushrod engines they usually get looser when hot.

What would cause a 2006 suzuki to die when stepping on gas

Not too sure, sounds like your vechicle isn't getting any gas. Could be anthing from a hose to a gas pump.

Gp 800 will crank but wont start

Hi, most likely the trigger coils near the flywheel, it will still have spark but the timing may be off. Try new plugs first as they may have spark outside the cylinders but not when under compression. Regards Phil

My 1996 suzuki rm80 js1rd starts thne bogs when you give it high revs backfiers then dies

I would check the carb and clean the spark plug or get a new one. And a big problem with 2 strokes when they need rebuilt on the top end is when you give gas they bog.

Suzuki gp 125 1981 dont want to start

Make sure you have ignition spark and just wer yhe tip of the plug with gas. Puttting gas in the cylinder is too rich and will add to you problem. Good Luck
