Sounds like the piston seized.
Pull the spark plug and hand crank the engine if the piston moves up and down with little effort your ok but if you have a lot of resistance top end rebuild needed.

Yamaha yz 125 kickstart wont move

If the kickstart won't move and the bike won't go into gear, it's likely that there's an issue with the transmission or engine. Here are a few possibilities to consider:
  1. Seized engine: If the engine seized while you were riding, it could be preventing the kickstart from moving. This could be caused by a lack of oil, overheating, or other issues. If the engine is seized, you will likely need to replace it or have it rebuilt.
  2. Transmission issue: It's possible that there's an issue with the transmission that's preventing the bike from going into gear and the kickstart from moving. This could be caused by a variety of issues, such as a broken shift fork or worn gears. You may need to have the transmission inspected and repaired.
  3. Top-end issue: If the bike lost a lot of power before cutting out, it's possible that there's an issue with the top end of the engine. This could be caused by worn piston rings, a damaged piston, or other issues. You may need to replace the top end of the engine to resolve this issue.
It's difficult to say for sure what the issue is without a more thorough inspection of the bike. I would recommend taking it to a mechanic who can diagnose the issue and provide a repair estimate.

Kickstarter is stuck 2003 Suzuki DR-Z 125 L

Rock the bike gently forward and back while shifting into fifth gear. Now push the bike forward while sitting on it and see if the rear tire turning will turn the motor. If not, your motor is stuck. If it turns, you have a kickstarter issue.
Many people never learned to depress the kickstarter down until you feel it engage before kicking it through. Kicking from the top slams the gear teeth together and causes damage. You may need to pull of the engine cover to determine if there’s damage.

New bike (to me), was riding it, cut off, and now kickstarter won't budge?

The cutting out sounds like you are revving above the red line. The red line is there for a reason- this is the engine speed at which the engine is under the most stress. In other words an ocassional trip into this area is not a problem, but continued use in this area will kill the engine. If the bike was mine, I would remove the head and check the piston and barrel. You don't say if the engine will start now. The fact that the kickstarter works now would seem to indicate that the engine is turning over, ( I hope). This should give you some idea at least. If not just ask!

Engine seized?

First thing to do is make sure it's the kick starter that has seized and not the engine. Take the cover off the end of the crankcase and try to turn the crankshaft. Apparently these engines were notorious for doing bottom ends. Start pulling it down and see what you find..

Yamaha srx600 kickstart seized

Check your 2 stroke oil reservoir, got a feeling it's bone dry. If so your cylinder is scored and will need some machining, new piston and rings....Good luck to you friend...Tim

Will not start turns over ok but will not fire up

during the winter you can get build up on the tip of your spark plug that will prevent the engine from firing. remove the spark plug and soak it in gas for ten minutes or so. Dry it ogg with a clean towel reinstall it and it should start right up.
