I'd go with the 20w-50.

Reasons:

You don't need the cold weather viscosity of the 10 weight oil.

You do need the added protection of the up end viscosity of the 20w-50.

I used Castrol GTX 20w-50 for 10 years in my HD Softail before I sold it.

BTW, you can get the benefit of synthetic oil protection by using a synthetic/dino juice blend, which is what I use now in my full dress HD.

Hope this helps.

My 2003 Honda Valkrie starts with the choke but won't stay running wiyhout it.

That is a sure sign that the carbs need cleaning. The low speed idle jets are plugged up and the choke cuts back the air and allows more fuel in the mix. There are 6 carbs on the Valkyrie so have someone who knows what they are doing clean and sync them.

Does the 2001 Valkyrie Interstate have a low oil pressure engine shutdown sensor?

Looking in the service manual it does NOT appear to have a low oil pressure shut down sensor. I has a low oil pressure sending unit that will turn on a light.

Can 40w oil be used in the 2000 accent

Well, yes and no, It would depend on the outside temperature, If you live in the desert, it would be perfect. But if you live up north, not so perfect. It would never crank over on a cold morning. Oil is like little tiny ball bearings, the heavier the oil, the bigger the ball bearings, Multi viscosity covers 2 weights, when it is cold in the morning it is thin, 10 w, when it heats up after running, it gets thick, 40w. 10w40 would be a good weight for a small engine, heavy enough when hot, thin enough when cold. Some people use straight 30 weight year round, but it is hot down here in Florida, I use 10w40 in all my cars and trucks. Hope this helps.

What type oil does my Mazda Protege use

Your car is nothing fancy I take it, not a race car?, diesel? Just a normal car that burns gas. Then it will take normal oil, in the 10w40 weight range. Any brand but jiffy store, although it meets SAE standards, the weight is the important part, it depends on where you live and what season it is. If you live in Canada and it is winter time, 10w40 might be too thick, you should go with 5w30 instead, in Massachusetts, straight 30 weight is ok, down here in Florida, 10w40 is a must. Hot. So, go by that heat range, you should be all set. Hope this helps.

What kind of oil am i supposed to use

Any brand of oil is ok, I would stay away from jiffy store oil, but all the name brands meet ASE specs, you want to use a multi-viscosity 10w40 weight or something like that, The weight of the oil goes by where you live. Florida? We use 10w40, up north, you can get by with 10w30, or just straight 30 weight, the difference is in the outside temperature. Oil viscosity is measured like little tiny beads in the oil, the bigger the number, the bigger the beads, the beads are what the metal parts slide on. Hope this helps.

2000 honda valkyrie\r\n on hot days waiting in traffic or first thing after a good ride bike will stall almost like its out of gas any ideas.

that is unusall since this is a new bike, check your oil pressure? if low on oil pressure it will result in lack of supply of oil in the crank shaft. or check your fuel pump, usualy engine parts will not work normally in high temperature.check your oil

I have 2003 Honda CR-V with 118 k , changed motor oil , ravenol 5w40 what is the changing interval for oil

First off you are using an incorrect weight oil in your Honda. Your Honda requires 5W20 and not 5W40 which is way too heavy. Change the oil and filter every 5,000 miles and use the correct weight and a quality filter such as Bosch, Purolator, or Wix.

Fork Oil CBR954

There are three most common weights of fork oil. 5W is a light oil for a smoother ride, 10W is a heaver oil for stiffer suspension and 15W is mainly used for a stiffer ride such as racing. I have found 20W and 25W oils but they are not that common.
If you are a pleasure rider 5W or 10W would be the right oil for you. If you are always "in the twisties" and riding the limits of the bike, go with the 15W.
