VBOOST NOT WORKING

Looks like on page 30 there is a picture of the rod that attaches to the governor and carburetor. Over the years of working on engines that someone else took apart I found that to hook the govenor tom the carburetor the rule was pretty much the same on all except generators. Some have more then one hole to choose from some you just bend the rod but one thing is the same , /// With engine not running,,,You push the butterfly wide open throttle on carb then go down to the Governor arm coming out of the engine block and turning it the same way you twisted the butterfly arm on the carb all the way,in your mind think about clockwise or counter clockwise, if facing it and you turn the carb butterfly arm clockwise to get it to wide open you will need the same thought when facing the governor arm then connect them together with a rod/stiff wire. If when your done it seems a little soft and pulls down you can take your needle nose pliers and put a small z bend in the rod to get it tighter ,quicker to raise the rpm's under a load. It sounds like the lock connecting rod is loose or the servo is not working. Does the passenger side door open with the key? If it does, the connecting rod is OK, but the servo will still be no 1 suspect.

Fluid level and a dirty filter are the first things to check, then a band adjustment is next on the list. as the pan needs to come off to change the filter adjst the bands at the same time. the tea levels in the bottom of the oil pan will tell you in there are more serious issues inside.

Air or fuel. Your not getting enough of one or the other. Start with air by removing your air filter (temporarly) and see if that will tell you anything.

I had a similiar problem with my Vmax. It was the Vboost computer for mine. It is located under the Left side scoop and is a small black plastic box with a round electrical connector. They are very expensive new. I got my replacement on ebay for around 75.00 dollars. I hope this helps.

It's the rod that runs from your brake peddle to the marster cylider the links seized up. need To take off and free it up

cant remove that washer
replace it
has to be there for functional reasons
