2002 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9L V8 leaking coolant out of what looks to be a weep hole from the water pump. Is my water pump bad, or just a seal (gasket)?

If the coolant is coming out of the weep hole on the pump then the pump will need to be replaced to correct the problem. Hope this will help you.

I have antifreeze dripping from my weep hole on my 2004 r1 what other seals do I need to replace besides the mechanical seal?

Weep hole leak usually means water pump is leaking and often due to bad bearings and seal.

Dodge nitro 3.7 .its leaking antifreez near the water pomp i replace the gasket but still leaking it the termoste house its good .when i turn on the car it dosent leak till about 2 min.

The water pumps have a small hole in or near the bottom. When the engine is cold, it will seal the hole but when it warms up, it will expand the seal and leak. You should be able to see coolant coming out from under the vehicle or using a mirror. If there is coolant coming out, replace the pump. Changing the gasket is not going to help if the internal seal in the pump is bad. Hope this helps.

What happens when your water pump goes out?

under pump there's a weep hole, located in center of pump below the shaft that the pulley is attached, if coolant is coming out of that hole, pump is bad. otherwise, gaskets between pump / engine are leaking.

I have a water leak. the hoses all seem good as does the "weep hole" on the water pump. The oil and trans fluid look normal and the car runs fine. The only thing I see is below the alternator...

Not all water pumps leak from the weep hole, if the water pump casket becomes worn then it will leak from behind the water pump. You can also have a leak coming from the thermastat housing. To find out exactly have a pressure test performed on your car.

Just replaced the water pump due to a leak not on it but behind the pump. I was told the leak was a tatle tale showing i needed a new pump. I still have anti freeze coming out behind it. any ideas?

The pump does have a weep hole in it. If a seal in the pump fails coolant will come out of the weep hole. Looks like you may have a bad water pump seal, but check gaskets, intake manifold and hoses as these can leak in this area as well. So determine where the coolant is coming from before investing in a new waterpump.

Coolant leaking on drivers side? have replace resevior and wateroutlet

Sounds very much like a water-pump.

Look for a leak below the water pump.
If so we believe the inter seal of the water pump to be the failure, this will result in a coolant weep coming from the weep hole near the center shaft of the water pump.

RECOMENDATION:
Replace the water pump.

We hope this tip guides to to your solution.
