If the starter solenoid just click and starter in not engaging...most likely you starter need to be replace...make sure the battery is fully charge first...jump start it first to make sure the battery is not weak.
Possible it could be your starter solenoid. They click when they do not work.Sounds like starter problem if you are sure your battery is fully charged.
Try following the positive battery cable from the battery to the starter solenoid (not sure if you have an inner fender-mounted solenoid or a starter-mounted one. Take one lead of a pair of jumper cables and connect one end to the solenoid terminal with the cable from the battery, and take the other end of that same jumper cable lead and momentarily connect it to the other large terminal on the starter solenoid. If the starter engages when you do this, replace the starter solenoid. If the engine doesn't try to crank when you do this, you probably have a bad starter. Good luck.
If battery and alternator are good is starter solenoid pulling in? it may be that whilst you have a new battery it may require charging new doesn't mean fully charged, batt may have been on shelf for awhile
If the solenoid is just clicking, then your solenoid is not getting enough voltage to fully engage the bendix that goes forward and engages your starter, that will spin the flywheel. Either you have a low battery, or your alternator is not fully charging your battery, or you have a bad cell in your battery, or the cable connections to your battery post are corroded.
First remove the clamps from your battery post one at a time and clean the insid of the clamps and the battery post with emery paper/sandpaper. Re-clamp and try again. Either check your battery with a volt ohm meter for 13.2 volts, or take it to a parts store and have them check your battery. You may be able to start the vehicle by jump starting it from another vehicle.
Make sure you have all the wires right. The clicking is your starter not engaging. Was the starter new?Did you bench test the starter before installing it?
Fully charge battery remove and take to a shop, bench test the battery. If its not the battery remove the starter and bench test it, its either the battery or the starter.
The battey may seem fine , but it most likley is weak and needs to be charged , or replaced. The clicking you hear is the ign relay or solenoid not having the amperage to fully engage the starter to allow the starter to turn the flywheel and start the engine. Also really check you battery connections , make sure they are super clean and tight.
Chck that the battery is fully charged . There used to be a syaing that, "many clicks means it's a bad battery. One click may be the starter". The solenoid is not engaging the flywheel. If the battery is fully charged the starter is bad.
