battery charge cud be low-must be at 12.6v--or connections are loose--relay may be bad--inspect all wiring for flaws and become a pro at maintenance -buy a clymer manual today
There are two bolts (they take allen keys) one on each side of the seat(toward the back before the rear seat pillion or cowl cover) remove those and it will slide to the back to remove it.
test the batt make sure its at 12.6V--are u gettin gas from the tank thru the carb--chec if ur gittin spark-may hav flaw in ignition, spark cable or coil--cud do a compression chec for good measure
One, or more, of the three necessary ingrediants for combustion are missing: fuel, compression, and a spark (at the right time).
You said that it started to overheat. Find out why. Then, check the engine's compression. You need at least 140 psi of compression, in every cylinder, for the engine to start and run. Low compression indicates either the need for a valve adjustment - or serious engine repairs.
